Once one of these creatures appears, there is no turning back. They cease to be rocks forever. You are suddenly surrounded by a rocky crowd, observing you, scolding you. Imagination gets to work, connecting crevices with eyes, searching for mouths where before only bits of pebbles and moss could be seen.
